The Gestapo press (Fox news) is issuing the usual drinking and driving
dictum, except this year, it’s with a twist. Oklahoma police aren’t
just planning to peruse the streets for drunk drivers, they plan to
enter the establishments serving alcohol and arrest patrons for being
too drunk BEFORE they even get to the parking lot! Yes, you read that
correctly.

Of course it's absurd, and we know they have no right to do that, let
alone to presume guilt before innocence, but the thugs will do it
anyway, because the whole idea is to get us (that's YOU and ME) used
to being pushed around by totalitarian authority no matter where we
go, what we do, or what we intend to do, including in our own
neighborhood taverns.

I don’t condone drunk driving (never did), but with what’s going on in
the airports now, can you imagine how the cops will treat the
violators they catch on the highways?

Yup, the brazen police state shuffle is on the rise folks, and this is
just the beginning!

You could not be more wrong. Pulling over drunk drivers is a way to
generate revenue. Stopping people before they get in the cars while
drunk is a true way to prevent drunk driving accidents and
fatalities. I think officers should be stationed at random bars every
night and give breathalyzer tests to patrons as they walk out. If
they're over the limit, they take their keys and call them a cab or
get someone else to drive. Drunk driving could be stopped very easily
using this method. Instead, they pull people over, and line the
pockets of attorneys by bringing charges against them.

Changing the price of a on sale liquor license would not hurt either.
Making the cost so prhibitive almost forces an establishment to push
the boundaries in order to make a profit on their investment when
compared to other types of investments.

Bars pay $1,005 plus a $500 administrative fee to obtain a mixed
beverage license. They then pay $905 plus the admin fee to renew each
year. That cost is hardly prohibitive. Rent and insurance are going
to cost them far, far more.

And a good way to prevent drug abuse is to do random urinalysis
citywide.

Heck, a good way to prevent traffic fatalities is to outlaw personal
vehicles.

There should also be random stops on sidewalks so an officer can
determine if you intend to break a law that day. To help pay for that
protection, citizens should be required to pay $25 for the experience.
